Access, privacy and safety

What Kinovo should—and should not—be used for

Kinovo is a shared coordination layer for one care team: it keeps current context, actions and relevant information together without replacing the systems responsible for care, safety or formal records.

Who this article is for

Anyone deciding what information or work belongs in Kinovo

Where to find it

  • Use the care-team dashboard and its focused modules for shared coordination around the care subject.
  • Read the Privacy Statement, Terms and Security and Trust Centre for current product boundaries and safeguards.

Use Kinovo for care-team coordination

  • Keep a concise shared picture of what matters now.
  • Assign an action to a named person and review their response.
  • Keep current practical Care Protocols available to the permitted people.
  • Share a relevant document with deliberate visibility.
  • Connect tasks and documents to a shared goal.
  • Hold a focused client-scoped conversation or arrange a team meeting.
  • Keep private personal notes and reminders for your own follow-up.
  • Route and track an invoice task while payment remains outside Kinovo.

Do not use Kinovo as the formal system of record

Kinovo is not a medical or clinical record, provider operating system, case-management replacement, payroll or rostering system, accounting platform, plan-management system or NDIA decision system.

Professionals and providers remain responsible for keeping statutory, clinical, incident, safeguarding, billing and other formal records in the systems and processes that apply to them.

Kinovo does not provide professional advice

Kinovo does not provide medical, clinical, legal, financial, NDIS, safeguarding or emergency advice. A workspace can help the right people coordinate their decisions, but it does not make those decisions for them or replace professional judgement.

Add only what the team needs

  • Share concise current information rather than copying an entire provider record by default.
  • Choose the narrowest useful visibility for sensitive files and guidance.
  • Do not add passwords, payment-card details or unrelated personal information.
  • Do not upload information unless you are authorised to share it with the intended people.
  • Review and remove access when somebody’s involvement changes.

Keep urgent and emergency work outside Kinovo

Kinovo is not an emergency service

Do not wait for a Kinovo task, message, notification or meeting response when somebody may be unsafe or needs urgent help. Contact the appropriate emergency, health, safeguarding or provider channel directly.

Still need help?

Tell Kinovo support what you were trying to do, which page you were on and what happened. Do not include sensitive care information unless support specifically asks for it through an approved channel.
