Our story

Kinovo began with a family, not a feature list.

It began with my family's experience of fragmented coordination—and a simple question: why is it still so hard for caring people to see the same picture?

One person

at the centre of every workspace

One shared picture

for family and trusted professionals

Less carrying

chasing, repeating and reconstructing

Why I started Kinovo

The problem was never a lack of caring people. It was that every person held a different piece of the picture.

Callum Cruikshank — Founder of Kinovo

Kinovo grew from my family's experience coordinating support around my sister, who has cerebral palsy.

Her wider team brought genuine care and expertise. Family members, support workers, coordinators, therapists and providers each held important knowledge and responsibilities.

But the shared picture can end up spread across phone calls, text messages, emails, paperwork, provider systems and, far too often, someone's memory. Families repeat the same context. Professionals chase updates. Important follow-ups become unclear. A new person joins and someone has to reconstruct the story again.

I built Kinovo to give the participant, family and invited professionals one clearer private place for the coordination they share—not to replace professional systems or add another complicated layer of administration.

The gap Kinovo closes

Good support can still feel fragmented when the coordination between people has nowhere to live.

Kinovo is designed for that shared space between family life and professional systems—the part where context, ownership and follow-through cross organisational boundaries.

For families

The whole story should not live in one person's head.

Families deserve to repeat less, chase less and share the coordination load without giving up control of the person's workspace.

For professionals

The work is easier when the current context is already there.

Professionals deserve a lightweight way to find the shared context, actions and documents they need without replacing their existing systems.

What we are building

One calm, shared place around one person.

Kinovo brings together the practical coordination that people need in common—without trying to become a medical record, provider operating system or replacement for professional judgement.

  • What matters right now and what changed recently
  • Who is doing what, and what is waiting or blocked
  • Current practical information and shared documents
  • A visible care team with deliberate, invite-only access

A deliberate boundary

What Kinovo does not become.

Kinovo is not trying to become a provider CRM, clinical record, billing or rostering system, public marketplace, general-purpose chat app or emergency channel. Those boundaries keep the product focused on the shared coordination between people and organisations.

The principles behind Kinovo

Technology should make care coordination feel more human—not more administrative.

These principles shape what we build, what we leave out and how we judge whether Kinovo is genuinely useful.

Centre the person

The shared picture should belong around the person receiving support—not around any one provider or organisation.

Make the work visible

People should be able to see what matters now, what changed and who owns the next step without chasing for context.

Share the load

Participant-controlled should not mean one family member has to remember, enter and follow up everything alone.

Earn trust through restraint

Access should be deliberate, information should stay private and Kinovo should be honest about what it does—and what it does not do.

Where we are going

A future where families do not have to act as the human bridge between every person and system.

We are starting with the fundamentals and learning alongside the people who live and work inside care teams every day. Kinovo will grow carefully: guided by real coordination problems, clear boundaries and whether it makes life meaningfully easier for the people using it.
