Security checks

Kinovo uses Cloudflare Turnstile on sign-in, account creation and password-reset requests to reduce automated abuse before Supabase Auth checks the account action.

Who this article is for

Anyone completing an account action on the Kinovo sign-in page

Where to find it

  • The security check appears inside the sign-in, create-account and reset-password form when Turnstile is enabled.
  • The form’s main button remains unavailable until the current challenge has returned a usable token.

What the security check does

Cloudflare Turnstile evaluates the browser interaction and returns a short-lived token. Kinovo sends that token with the sign-in, signup or password-reset request so Supabase Auth can validate it.

A green Success message means the browser challenge succeeded. It does not confirm the email, password, account status or the rest of the request.

Complete the check

  1. 1

    Wait for the widget

Allow the Cloudflare security check to finish loading and show Success.

  2. 2

    Submit the form promptly

Use the enabled Sign in, Create account or Send reset link button while the current token is valid.

  3. 3

Complete a new check after an attempt

Kinovo resets Turnstile after most submissions. If the request fails, wait for the replacement challenge before trying again.

If the security check cannot load

  • Confirm that the device is online and refresh the page once.
  • Use a current browser with JavaScript and cookies enabled.
  • Temporarily check whether a strict content blocker, privacy extension, firewall, VPN or organisation network is blocking challenges.cloudflare.com.
  • Try a normal browser window or another supported browser on the same device.
  • If Kinovo says the site owner must verify the Turnstile site key, report it to support; that is a Kinovo configuration issue, not something to solve by repeated attempts.

If Success is followed by the same error

A Turnstile token is short-lived and can expire or be rejected. Refresh the page, wait for a new Success result and submit once. Do not reuse an old tab that has been open for a long time.

If several fresh attempts in current browsers all return Complete the security check and try again, stop retrying and report the issue. Kinovo may need to verify that the public Turnstile site key and the secret configured in Supabase Auth still belong to the same widget.

Security check success does not clear other errors

  • The email or password can still be incorrect.
  • A new account may still need email confirmation.
  • Too many attempts can still trigger a temporary authentication rate limit.
  • A network interruption can occur after the challenge succeeds.
  • A suspended or closed account requires the appropriate support or restoration process.

Never share security credentials

Kinovo support does not need your password, confirmation link, reset link or any Turnstile secret. Describe the visible error and when it occurred instead.
