Accounts and troubleshooting
Adding Kinovo to your phone or computer
Add Kinovo to your phone’s Home Screen or your computer for quicker access. It uses the same account and care-team information as the website and still needs an internet connection.
Who this article is for
People who want quicker Kinovo access on a phone, tablet, Windows PC or Mac
Where to find it
- Choose Install Kinovo from the account menu when it is available, or Get the Kinovo app on the website.
- You can also use your browser’s install or Add to Home Screen option.
What you get when you install Kinovo
Installation adds an icon and can open Kinovo in its own window. You do not need a separate account or an App Store download.
Your saved work stays connected to the same account. Installation does not make an offline copy of your care team: you still need internet access to open and update signed-in information.
On Windows with Chrome or Edge
- 1
Open Kinovo in the browser
Use a current Chrome or Edge window.
- 2
Choose Install Kinovo
Use the Kinovo action or look for the browser’s install option in the address bar or menu.
- 3
Confirm installation
Follow the browser prompt. Choose any desktop or taskbar shortcuts the browser offers.
On iPhone, iPad or Mac
- On iPhone or iPad, open Kinovo in Safari. Open Share, choose Add to Home Screen, enable Open as Web App if shown, then tap Add.
- If you opened Kinovo inside an email or messaging app, open it in Safari first.
- On a supported Mac, open Kinovo in Safari and choose File → Add to Dock, or Share → Add to Dock. Follow the prompt.
If your Apple menus look different, see Apple’s iPhone Home Screen instructions or use your device’s current help.
For Mac requirements and steps, see Apple’s Safari web app guide.
On Android
Open Kinovo in Chrome or Edge. Choose Install Kinovo if offered, or open the browser menu and look for Install app or Add to Home screen.
Follow the confirmation prompt, then open the new icon. Sign in with your existing account if asked.
If you cannot see an install option
- Check whether Kinovo is already installed and you are using its app window.
- Open it in a normal, current browser rather than an embedded browser inside another app.
- Your browser or managed device may not offer installation. You can keep using the website.
- Dismissing Kinovo’s installation suggestion hides that suggestion for 30 days. It does not prevent you using an available browser or account-menu install option.
