Everyday coordination
Using client-scoped messages
Use Messages for a focused conversation inside one care-team workspace, with deliberate participants, alert behaviour and links to the work being discussed.
Who this article is for
Care-team members who need a shared discussion around one client
Where to find it
- Open Messages inside the selected care-team or client workspace.
- Professionals should enter the correct client workspace; Kinovo does not combine client conversations into general-purpose chat.
Start a focused thread
- 1
Name the subject
Use a thread title that explains the decision, update or topic being discussed.
- 2
Choose the people
Include the active care-team members who need the conversation. Restricted threads remain visible only to permitted participants and Team leader oversight where applicable.
- 3
Link the work
Optionally link a goal or task from the same workspace, set an owner and add context.
- 4
Choose priority and alerts
Use Normal for ordinary coordination. High priority makes the thread more prominent but does not guarantee delivery or monitoring.
- 5
Send the first message
The alert mode chosen for the new thread is applied to that first message.
Choose the alert mode deliberately
- Thread people — in-app notifications for the people in the conversation.
- Selected people — direct in-app and immediate-email alerts, subject to their preferences.
- Entire team — in-app alerts for active team members who can access the conversation; it does not send an immediate email to everybody.
- Silent — no notification; the message remains visible in the thread.
Not continuously monitored
High priority does not make Kinovo an emergency or guaranteed-delivery channel. For urgent safety or health concerns, use emergency services or the care team’s agreed urgent-contact process.
Find and manage threads
- Inbox search searches thread titles and details; it is not a full search of every message body.
- Mute a conversation when you want it to remain available without ordinary alerts.
- Pin important threads when that control is available.
- Open linked goals and tasks directly; Kinovo keeps the correct care-team and role-aware destination.
- A permitted participant can turn a message into a task when a clear owner and response are needed.
Thread controls
The thread creator, owner, Team leader or another authorised member can manage status, priority, ownership and participants. Removing a person from a restricted thread removes their access to that conversation; it does not remove them from the care team.
