Reviewing a response and requesting changes
When a task response is ready, compare it with the original request. Complete the task if it meets the request, or explain the specific change you still need.
Who this article is for
Task creators, Team leaders and people permitted to review a task response
Where to find it
- Open Ready for review on Dashboard or Tasks, then select the task.
- You can also open the task from its response notification.
Check that it is your response to review
The task creator or a Team leader can review a submitted response. Kinovo prevents an assignee from approving their own response, even when they have wider permissions.
Review becomes available after the response is submitted. A comment or saved draft is not a submitted response. Invoice tasks also show the reported invoice outcome and any supporting files.
Read the response and check the files
- 1
Read what was sent
Open the submitted response and any files you are allowed to view. Check that the file is the one requested and that you can read it.
- 2
Compare it with the request
Check the task instructions and any earlier request for changes. If something is unclear, ask for the missing detail.
- 3
Choose the outcome
Complete the task when the request has been met. Choose Request changes if more work is needed, and say exactly what to change.
Request changes clearly
Enter specific revision instructions that tell the assigned person what is missing, incorrect or needs further explanation. Kinovo returns the task to them as Revision requested and notifies them.
The earlier response remains part of the task history. The assigned person adds the revised response and submits it again for review.
Make the next response obvious
Write the smallest clear change that would make the response acceptable—for example, “Please add the signed page” rather than “Needs more detail.”
What completing the task means
Completion records that the task request has been satisfied. It keeps the response and history available for reference.
Completing a task does not automatically achieve a linked goal, verify a payment or approve clinical advice. Check those outcomes with the person responsible.
If you cannot find the review buttons
- Check that the response was submitted and the task is Ready for review.
- Confirm that you are the task creator or an authorised Team leader, and are not reviewing your own response.
- Check whether someone else has already reviewed it.
- Ask the Team leader if your access appears incorrect.
